Self - Help Group

We have appointed a full time field worker a fully qualified trained staff, to cater to the needs of self help groups formed by REWS.

Age Care Programme

Among the various activities of RERWS, service to the old age people by running a home for their needs is the main and the most important one.

Drought Relief Works

REWS had undertaken to help nearly forty farmers to obtain from 'Indian Bank', Avoor to develop their cultivatable land in October.

Development on the Women Folk

One of the tasks of REWS is to develop the rural women. They were formed into women’s associations and the members became Self Help Groups.

Training Programmes

The Tailoring unit run by REWS has gained name among the young unemployed girls of the project area.

Functions & Festivals

International Elders day was celebrated in the home on the 1st of October. Cultural programmes were conducted were organised to the inmates.

Awareness Programmes

This year on 10th of May our people had to face the public Election for our parliament and awareness camps.

Welcome to Rural Education Working Society

Among the developing countries, India considered one of the deserving nations needs interventions and social empowerment among people. Still 80% of the population in India lives in rural areas, all the more they live in ignorance, illiteracy and exploitation. There is strong Socio - economic imbalance among families. Rural community, those of working society especially the economically weaker section is living in suppression and segregation due to socio economic, caste and political barriers.

Founder-President

Fr.Pathrose is committed his life for spiritual and social improvement of downtrodden and marginalized. By being priest, he is able to clearly visualize the root cause for the social problem of the society where he serves. Initiated quite a number of social action programmes in the region. REWS is an out come of his strong commitment to empower people. Simplicity and humbleness motivated many to join the Mass movement of REWS. Untiring services to needy human beings are well regarded, recognized and welcomed by rural poor. Founder President assures that REWS will
work for the welfare of socially, economically and educationally backward village society.

Other Programs

To impart the value of education among the students of the villages of the project area coaching classes were conducted in the center of REWS. Every week end, Saturdays and Sunday special classes conducted by the experts on subjects like English, Mathematics and Science to the students throughout the year. As a result of this special attention the Public Examination result of the school in and around our project area went up. Teachers appreciated the service of REWS
